Modern Community Pharmacy Practice
The MCPP model has been developed to work alongside and underpin quality delivery their contracted services, and support the changes required to enable community pharmacies to thrive in a rapidly evolving health and economic landscape.
It focuses on those aspects of a pharmacy business that are in the control of owners and managers. It does not focus on the issues that impact on pharmacies but are out of their scope of direct influence or control including regulation, legislation and contracting.
The model is based on similar principles to Healthy Living Pharmacy, that is, organisational development. However, this model is much broader covering all elements that are in the direct control of pharmacy owners.
