Neighbourhood Health

Collaborative working with other healthcare providers is a key enabler of providing safe patient-centred clinical services under the Modern Community Pharmacy Practice movement and model.

Technology can help this but it first requires trusted relationships at every level, in particular at person-to-person and practice-to-practice level. This takes time and effort by LPCs and individual pharmacy contractors, but an essential investment if community pharmacy wants to be an integrated part of the NHS's plans for neighbourhood health teams.
