The MCPP model has been developed to support the changes required to enable community pharmacies to adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving health and economic landscape.
It focuses on those aspects of a pharmacy business that are in the control of owners and managers. It does not focus on the issues that impact on pharmacies but are out of their scope of influence or control including regulation, legislation and contracting.
The model is based on similar principles to Healthy Living Pharmacy - organisational development. However, this model is broader covering all elements that are in the direct control of pharmacy owners.
This short video covers the why, how and what of the principles that supported the development of the model and introduces the key elements.
